Economic and Investment Principles in a nutshell

A billionaire, Ray Dalio, went on stage and explained in 42 minutes how the entire economy works. for free. Wall Street spent the next decade pretending nobody saw it.

he didn't sell a course. he didn't plug a fund. he stood at a whiteboard and drew three lines that explain every crash, every recovery, and every rate decision since 1929. MBA programs charge $200,000 to teach frameworks he covered in the first 15 minutes. six of the models he drew on that board are still classified as proprietary at three major banks. he gave them away on YouTube. the part nobody talks about: he predicted exactly what happened in 2020, two years before it played out. interest rates hitting zero, the central bank running out of tools, the money printer. he drew it on a whiteboard in 2018 like he was reading tomorrow's newspaper. a portfolio manager at a top-five firm told me every new analyst on his desk watches this before they're allowed to open a terminal. not the CFA prep. not the internal training. this one lecture. 40 million people have seen it. almost none of them can name the three forces he draws in the first ten minutes. it is still free.

The markets follow the economy.

4 big sources:
We become more efficient, that is productivity.
It evolves.
The big things that we feel everyday is debt cycles.
Recession, weakness in the economy, credit is buying power, financial assets happen. That lasts seven to 10 years.

Here is the youtube video of Ray Dalio's lecture:

Real Estate: Beware of DEED scams

A week ago on Nextdoor social media app, this message was posted: For you Recent Nearby • 5 days ago • Scams are on high speed. Be aware of tittle/deed fraud. Pay attention to your house status. The problem of deed fraud has become endemic in New York. Perpetrators of fraudulent deed transfers have swindled tens of thousands of homeowners out of their homes in the past few years, and the modus operandi of the perpetrator has become all too familiar. The scheme works like this: the culprit forges a homeowner’s signature on a deed which transfers title of the property to a new owner. The forged signature is then notarized in one of three ways: (1) bribing the notary agent to affix their stamp without checking state-issued ID; (2) employing a notary agent to perpetrate illegal activity; or (3) showing the notary public a fake ID in the name of the homeowner. If you have ever needed to get a document notarized, you probably remember the process as being a quick one. The agent’s du...

10 of the Highest-Paying Gig Economy Jobs

Today on Facebook, someone had copied and pasted a very important analysis of the social security. Obviously in this day and age of hyper inflation, people in the United States can't rely on Social Security to survive. Here is the complete text that we are asked to copy and share.  "Thank you Mr Secretary,  Concerning Social Security payments, my contributions were made for over 40 years on every salary I received. Those jobs may not have always been the work I wanted to be doing at the time, BUT I always had a job. The Social Security check is now (or soon will be) referred to as a "Federal Benefit Payment?" I'll be part of the one percent to forward this. I am forwarding it because it touches a nerve in me, and I hope it will in you. Please keep passing it on until everyone in our country has read it. The government is now referring to our Social Security checks as a "Federal Benefit Payment." This isn't a benefit. It is our money paid out of our...
